TOGETHER WE ARE ENSURING
COMPLIANCE & QUALITY

Together Homecare is committed to ensuring that we operate our offices with the utmost focus on compliance and quality as evidenced by the following:

Together Homecare Code of Conduct:

  1. The Together Homecare Agency, its staff, management, executives, and Board as well as any related entities shall operate in accordance with all laws, rules and regulations, in a manner that is lawful, ethical, and sensitive to the needs and reasonable expectations of those we serve. Honesty, trustworthiness, and reliability should be evident in all relationships. We shall strive to do it right the first time.
  2. We will strive to provide accurate, timely and complete documentation of services rendered, and assign appropriate codes based on chart documentation, which will result in accurate claims filing. No claim should be filed unless the payer guidelines are met and the appropriate documentation is present.
  3. We will not offer, give, solicit or receive any bribe or kickback in an effort to induce referrals or increase admissions. We will not submit false claims for services. We will strive to avoid any situations in which a prohibited self-referral is received or an excluded individual or entity is employed or contracted with, or any other situation in which state or federal fraud and abuse laws are violated.
  4. We will strive to respect our patients' right to privacy and security of their protected health information and will strive to maintain confidentiality and to abide by all applicable privacy laws, including the HIPAA privacy and security rule.
  5. We will strive to provide our clients with the highest quality home health services as ordered by the physician. We will strive to only bill third party payers for those home health services that are medically necessary.
  6. We will promptly return or repay any identified overpayments or credit balances.
  7. We will promptly report any non-compliant behavior, fraud, or waste to our supervisor. We will not take any action in retaliation against an individual for reporting non-compliant behavior, fraud, or waste.
  8. We will respect our clients' homes and property and not take any action that would damage their property.
  9. We will monitor compliance with our compliance plan and code of conduct both as a means to ensure compliance and as a means to identify ways to improve our efforts to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  10. We will promptly investigate alleged violations of our code of conduct, and all state law or federal law. We will take action to correct any verified non-compliance or violations of the law. We will also impose appropriate discipline on any individuals who are involved in verified violations.
